If you want to become a part of a baby turtles life, or even a hundred baby turtles lives, you have the opportunity to do it from your own home.
How does it work?
The night patrols that our team undertake every night during nesting season have an objective – to locate turtle nests, collect the eggs, transport them down the beach, and to relocate them in new nests that are protected inside our hatcheries. Only due to this intervention can the eggs develop in prime conditions, and after the normal gestation time, hatch into a clutch of baby turtles ready to be released into the ocean.
Baby turtle sponsors
Your economic support generates a positive impact on the care, maintenance and protection needed in the hatchery, where we have large quantities of eggs waiting to hatch, and to become baby turtles. With every baby turtle you sponsor, you will be supporting our work in the research and conservation of coastal marine resources.
At the end of turtle season, we will provide you with information on the quantity of turtles born, the amount of turtles released into the ocean, a research report on the turtle season, and photos of sponsored babies being released into the ocean.
