Sea Turtles Conservation
ASVO currently has three Conservation and Investigation of Sea Turtle projects, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica.
  • Buenavista Beach
Buenavista Beach is an intensive nesting beach. We can observe over 300 nesting activities each season, from 3 out of the 4 species of sea turtle that frequent the area. However this beach does not count on any type of official protection. read more

  • Montezuma Beach
Montezuma Beach is located in the northern pacific of Costa Rica. It is a paradisiacal place which has a wide diversity of flora and fauna very close to the Conservation station. The investigation center is located in the town of the same name, where the residents are full of energy and positivity.

It is the perfect place to undertake sea turtle research, as various species of sea turtle nest on this beach, such as the olive ridley, the leatherback, and the black turtle. read more
